What are the career opportunities in the financial sector? This year, a panel discussion on "Career in finance: future perspectives" was held in the frame of Career City Fest. Mane Martirosyan, the executive director of Nairi Insurance, was one of the event's speakers.
"This is a specific field where you have to be people-centred when you step into the field because you are dealing with the promise of security," mentioned Mane in her speech.
Speaking about the attractiveness of the insurance industry, Mane admitted that she came to Nairi 14 years ago, thinking that she would stay there for a few months and continue her career elsewhere. Still, the field of insurance and Nairi captivated her and she became a “Nairian”.
What are the demands of the field and what to do to go ahead? According to Mane, education is the pillar of the field, so she continues to be educated, develop, and acquire new knowledge and skills.
"It is impossible not to love education in an age when there is artificial intelligence in the world," assures Mane.
She has emphasized that the realization of the importance of education is the reason why this year particularly Nairi is making a special contribution to the sector of education as a part of its corporate social responsibility.
According to her, today the main innovation of the field is AI itself, it is necessary to be able to use the possibilities of artificial intelligence correctly. Nairi is the first insurance company that has decided to use the capabilities of artificial intelligence to assess the damage caused to a car as a result of an accident.
When Mane was asked to describe in one word what kept her in the financial sector for so many years, her reply was: "stability".
