CMTPL
A CMTPL contract can be purchased for a minimum timeframe of three months for the vehicles registered in RA and for ten days for the vehicles that have no RA registration. The maximum timeframe of the contract is one year.
The insurance premium is calculated based on the following factors:
- Type of motor vehicle (passenger truck, etc)
- Vehicle engine power
- Purpose (personal, work-related, taxi, etc)
- Contract timeframe
- Bonus-Malus class.
Bonus-Malus is a system of discounts and insurance surcharges in CMTPL field.
Registering a motor vehicle accident
An accident is registered through an agreed-upon arrangement if the following conditions are present:
- Only two vehicles were involved in the accident and only one of them was damaged.
- At least one of the two vehicles involved in the road accident has a valid CMTPL agreement.
- One of the drivers takes full accountability for the accident.
- The amount of the expected reimbursement does not exceed 100, 000 AMD.
Required steps
Drivers have to take the following steps to register road accidents
- Take at least three photos of the damages and positions of the collided vehicles.
- Complete and sign the agreed-upon arrangement.
- Call the insurance company of the driver held accountable for the accident to report the road accident maximum within 40 minutes following the accident.
Standard procedure for registering accidents
When the aforementioned conditions are not present, the road accident is registered by the road police. This procedure requires the following steps.
- The accident must be reported to the insurance company maximum within 40 minutes following the accident. There is no need for the insurance company to be on site.
- The road police should be called to the site of the accident and the cars should not be moved until their arrival.
- The drivers of the involved vehicles should attend and contribute to the road police procedure of documenting the accident.
To get the refund, one should submit a complete application form along with required documents.
Simplified reimbursement procedure
It takes between 6 and 17 days to get reimbursed. It takes 17 working days only when the parties have used all available appeal types.
Standard reimbursement procedure
It takes between 10 and 41 days to get reimbursed. It takes 41 working days only when the parties have used all available appeal types.
- The vehicle owner, the vehicle tenant and the insured held accountable for the accident.
- Those individuals who were in a stolen or an illegally used vehicle, except for those cases when those individuals were not aware of the fact that the vehicle was stolen or was illegally used, or when they were inside the vehicle against their will.
The family members of the vehicle owner or tenant will not receive the reimbursement of the car damage.

CASCO
APPA and CASCO insure us against different levels of risk. If APPA provides third-party liability coverage, CASCO covers the car expenses caused by physical damage, including the one inflicted by third parties, and theft. Hence, CASCO contract is no substitute for APPA.
You can purchase a CASCO contract for the cars that were manufactured maximum ten years ago. If your car is more than ten years old, don’t worry, just apply for CASCO UNIVERSAL.

In case of a road accident, please
- Don’t move the cars and report the accident by calling 098 277 277 and following the instructions you will receive.
- Do report the accident to the relevant competent authority.
- A written report must be filed to the insurance provider within two days following the accident.

When purchasing a contract, the insured party chooses one of the partner medical institutions to their preference and makes use of the services provided by that institution throughout the contract period.
Personal Accident Insurance
If there has been an accident and the Insured Party is insured against accidents, the Insured Party can turn to any medical institution for medical care without calling the company in advance. However, the accident has to be reported to the Company within two days of the accident.
Travelling
When clients sign their travel insurance cover contract, they learn the insurance terms and are given the contacts of the support agency. Cases should be reported by calling the listed numbers and the instructions of the support company should be followed.
Another option is to contact NAIRI INSURANCE through Viber and to share with the insurance company the doctor’s prescriptions, payments and receipts. The case should be reported in writing to the insurance company within ten business days of the arrival in Armenia.
When making any payment, keep the receipts and accompanying medical papers. As you arrive in your country, submit them to the Insurance Company within ten working days.

The Insured Party has to submit a written report to the Insurance Company within three days of the accident.
On the receipt of insurance cover, the Insured Party has the right to restore the initial insurance cover through an additional insurance premium. For example, if your contract states the insurance coverage to be 500, 000 AMD and if you have suffered a property damage received a cover of 200, 000 for it, then your insurance coverage makes already 300, 000 AMD. However, if you make a further insurance premium payment, the initial coverage will be restored.
Yes, since the contract states that on the payment of insurance cover, the Insurance Company is granted the right of the Insured Party to to seek reimbursement for the payout.
For example, if an X party is responsible for the inflicted damage, you will not have to be involved in any legal disputes with that X party, as the Company will cover your loss and is granted the right to claim back reimbursement from the Party.
